Norm Balchunas to Lead Cyber Session at Drexel’s Fall 2016 Director’s Academy
On October 26, our Government Sector Practice SVP, Norm Balchunas, Col, USAF (Ret), will co-present “Surviving a Cyber Attack” at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business’s Fall 2016 Directors Academy – Leading Practices for the Boardroom. Directors Academy is a corporate governance-focused program for new board members.
Norm’s session is timely and compelling:
Today’s companies face a vast array of risks — both known and unexpected. Frequently, cybersecurity is at the center of the risks directors are concerned about. However, many directors do not feel that they are as familiar with cyber issues as they are with financial or strategic issues. In this session, participants will engage in a table-top exercise simulating a cyber-attack to better understand best practices for incident response, who holds which responsibilities, a board member’s role and what questions directors should be asking. Participants will walk away with a cyber “toolkit” they can bring back to their organizations to ensure the proper procedures are in place.
